Hayward ColorLogic LED Light Not Turning On

Hi all,

I have a Hayward ColorLogic 12v LED light in my pool that has stopped turning on. It was blinking a few days ago and now it just won't turn on. I have two other lights (originating from the same circuit) and they are working fine.

I checked the GFCI and the circuit, and neither are the issue. I'm pretty sure the next step is the check the junction box that the light is connected to, but what do I need to do? Connect a multimeter to the two wires coming from that light? (to verify that the light is the issue)

I do see some condensation inside the broken light. It's about 6 years old...from what I'm seeing online (complaints from those that have the same lights), that's not bad a lifespan for one of these.

If the light has gone bad, does Hayward offer replacement parts for fix this? (i.e. new bulb and gasket) Or would I have to purchase an entire new light? I tried searching on their site but it seems that my light was discontinued and the replacement parts listed are not internal parts.

I think you will find the light is dead and not repairable. You should plan on replacing the light.

Yeah, I have that feeling too...it's just a bummer because we barely use the lights...we probably use them like twice a year...my wife wants me to just leave it be and not replace it since the other lights are working and it's like $1,000 for a new light...I'm sure I'll end up buying it though. I'm too anal to not having it working, but that's a whole other story...haha.

My hayward light just went. Again. First light lasted from 2014-2017, and then the free replacement 2017-2021. This one easily has under 100 hours on it of actual run time. Iit turns on to full white for a bit, then switches to the color. After a minute it drops out, with only a faint glow in the bulb.

Is there a non-Hayward replacement that can still cycle through colors by cycling the power (like the current one does, we don't have the colorlogic app/controller)?

I see some OmniLogig software updates say this. i've never updated the soft/firmware of my controller though...

Interesting. I sent them an email, not sure if I can do just a bulb swap, or if the whole housing+wire needs to be run. I don't want a housing seal issue to ruin any replacement bulb.
