Hey everyone!!
So pool has been running for just over 1 week!! Very exiting!!

I just received my Taylor 2006C kit (a little hard to find & expensive but I’m hoping worth while in the long run!

Do I give it more time or do I start adjusting chems right away!?

Test results:
FC 3.6
CC 0.4
PH 7.8
TA 110
CH 120
CYA low (filled tube and could barely see black dot still so less than 30

Pool specs:
45100L ( 11914 gal)
Vinyl liner with concrete cantilevered edge
Nature2 Soft SWG (with mineral pack removed)
Jandy Flo pro 1hp pump
Jandy CV340 filter
Jandy JXI 200k heater

No, water is crystal clear
Great! In that case you should be able to take the CYA up to about 70 to help maintain your FC production. Just be sure to keep the FC balanced as you see on the FC/CYA Levels. Other than that your numbers look good right now.

Still looks cloudy. You'll be amazed when we get it TFP clear.
How deep is the deep end?
Can you see the seams in the liner in the deep end?
7’4” I can see the seams. The pictures are hard to show how clear it is, but it is very clear. But I’m using my limited expedited to call it clear. Let’s see how clear TFP can get me !! Lol

Ok I will start bringing it up

so just follow the pool math & only worry about CYA @ the moment ?

DB, the OCLT is important to confirm there is no algae that would require the SLAM Process. If you pass the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test great, then you can increase the CYA to 70. But if you fail the OCLT now, a lower CYA of say 30 means you would require a lower FC SLAM level of 12. Little less chlorine.

Ok, so OCLT done, lost less than 0.5 so moving ahead with adding CYA. Since I don’t know exactly where it was (was lower than 30) I am going to put 30 as my current level in the pool math, to make sure I undershoot rather than over shoot.
I picked up 2.5kg of granules, sock in skimmer running 24hrs until empty is best?
I also did some in a bucket to make a slurry just go see how it works.
What is the best / preferred method?

Sounds good!! I’ll do a full check tomorrow evening & see where I’m at / what needs an update.
Evening ok? Or morning better?
CYA & FC are my most important ones? Will the stabilizer throw any of the other chems out of whack ?
