You can also stretch it with 5ml samples and each drop is 1. It will get you the first few days of SLAM when the super accuracy is less needed.
So they installed a brand new one but ended up giving to another pool that was closer to being finished. Then we had the display one. Now we have "ours", another new one.I forget now, which one was the *real* one ? You had the loaner, then the temporary filter and now the 3rd times the charm ?
+1. This was my hack. Different pump style but exact same ending. The diameter of the hose is the limiting factor on speed. It's not an issue normally, but if you do forget to put the pump on the cover, and there is a lot of water accumulated, it will take while to pump off. If you get a vacuum hose and a different fitting for the pump (it just unscrews) then you'll get like 200 - 400% faster pumping
I probably stole the idea from you or someone. As I do with all my best ideas. Ideas are rarely new.+1. This was my hack. Different pump style but exact same ending.
Submersible pump hack.
Hey all !! I’ve been doing this for years but finally got good pics to show the difference. I have a standard 1/3 HP submersible pump withshown here Flow from 100ft 3/4 inch hose. Here comes the fun part : In the sprinkler section of the home centers / hardware store they have 3/4...www.troublefreepool.com
I met with one builder that told me he sold 29 pools in the last 2 days, that was enough for me to say no thanks. I heard from one of the electricians he used that he sold 2000 pools in 2020. Some of them wont even start until 2022.My builder sold me in the first 2 minutes. He grabbed a phone book (‘Member those) and said ‘This is me, I’ve lived at this location for 30 years, been here for 55 (?) total, you’ll never wonder where I am or how to reach me. I will only build you pool as if it’s mine so walk now if you’re looking to skimp and save’.
I got other quotes just to feel better, but I was sold nonetheless. I could hear builder 2 at the large chain furiously typing on his calculator when he said ‘I’m going to cut so many corners that the price is so good that you HAVE to use me’.
Ummmmmm………. Thanks? (But really no thanks) *click*.
I trust anyone’s gut when they meet their prospective builders far more than any online reviews. If it don’t feel right, It’s not.that was enough for me to say no thanks
Is it okay if I steal that?Snoo, I’ve thought it over a bit and I think you should edit your review a bit to reflect the current challenges. (If you still can)
Something like ‘We built at the height of the supply issues full of delays everywhere in the construction industry. PB communicated every last speed bump and explained how we would get past them as they arose, then he got past them like he promised’. (Your specifics briefly mentioned in your words, of course).
It’s the first thing i asked my PB. ‘How bad is it going at the moment’. He launched off on all the struggles and what he’d do about them. He then promised me we’d get through it together. It was far better to me than the other place that told me ‘not to worry about it’. If something like the above was in your review it would really set my mind at ease if I read it, that things happen but *this* is the guy i want fighting for me when they do.
