You can swim in it as it appears you can see the bottom. But I doubt you will be finished with the SLAM Process by the weekend.

It is safe to swim as long as FC is between minimum and SLAM Process level for your CYA and you can clearly see the entire bottom of the pool. See the FC/CYA Levels for FC based on your CYA. As Marty stated, it appears you can see the bottom at present.

Keep with the SLAM Process regime. It may not look perfect for the weekend, but it will look just like the pics in the link I previously posted if you don't deviate.

Oh..We bought this place couple of months ago so I am not sure. But I doubt it has been done. How often does it need to be done? I did do backwash before starting SLAM. I updated the signature now

I would suggest you Deep Cleaning a Sand Filter at some time near the end or after the SLAM is complete.

So I have noticed that I haven’t been to get my fc level above 10 for couple of days now. I am using liquid chlorine and putting in amount based on pool math app. Wondering what’s going on? Could it be high PH?

No, its the algae. Add more LC. SLAM rules, get to SLAM level, and stay there. Thats how SLAMS go fast.

Folks, so I think I have passed all slam criteria. What should I do next..turn on my swg and let my FC level drift back to cya/fc chart levels for swg? My cya is 30 and the lecommended is 75 so I should probably add stabilizer to bring it to those level?

If you have passed all three criteria, I would suggest you add about 30 ppm of stabilizer. Your climate that should be fine. Then let your FC come down to the target range for 70 ppm CYA until you can test the CYA level.

Sorry not clear on what you mean by 30 ppm of stabilizer. The pool math app shows I need to add 96 oz of dry stabilizer to get to 75. Should I just do that?

I would suggest adding 30 ppm worth, or 4 pounds of stabilizer. In your northern climate you do not need to push the CYA that high. But if you wish, you can do that.

Thanks so I tested my water today,

TA=220
PH=7.3
FC=5.5 (coming down)
CH=22
CYA=60

Pool Math says TA is outside of the range (60-80). What should I do bring it recommended level?

TA range is 50 - 90+. Yours will come down over time with pH management in the 7's.

How did you measure a CH of 22 ppm?
