Easytouch/Screenlogic Problem

G,

Based upon your pics your system can't be doing what you say...

Very odd, it is running the spa speed even though it is obviously not in the spa mode.

If this were my pool, I would use the main panel LCD and confirm that the EasyTouch itself shows the same speeds..

Menu, Settings, IntelliFlo, pump , speeds.. You should see something like 1/8 meaning page one of 8 speeds..

Make sure that the ET only has two speeds and that they are Pool = 1500 and Spa = 2500...

Also check Status..

Thanks,

Jim R.

I just checked the panel

I have no clue.. Seems the ET or the pump is bad...

One more thought.. put the system in the Service mode and make sure the pump is set up as "address #1"... You can only do this from the pump. I suspect it is, but I can't think of anything else..

Another thing I guess.. While still in the Service mode, make sure you can run the pump using the pump's control panel, using several RPMs..

And yet another thought.. Change Spa speed to 1800 and see is if the pump is then stuck on 1800.. This would tell you that the EasyTouch is stuck in the spa mode even though it does not seem to be..

Let's see if Tom has any idea what could be going on... Calling @ogdento

And finally..... Show us a pic of the back of your EasyTouch board... Show me where the cable from the pump is connected to the EasyTouch.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Hey guys, I don't have any good suggestions but I'm curious what firmware the outdoor board is running? At the outdoor board go to Menu > Diagnostics > Software Rev. There were some changes made for vsf pumps.

I guess I'm also wondering if clearing the eeprom and reprogramming might clear something up... but maybe hold off on that for a bit.

Tom

So I went into service mode and confirmed I am in address #1. While there I also confirmed I could run the pump at various RPMs. I also noticed the pump min and max were at odd numbers 1700/2500 so I adjusted them to the defaults 450/3450. That would explain while in gpm mode I could never get the correlated rpm above or below 1700/2500. I saved everything and exited out of service mode. I’m not sure what happened but now I can set the pump to RPM mode and set my RPMs and everything works fine!🤯
Not sure if you guys have any explanation for it but it’s currently working:rockon:

I have a submerged spa. When selecting my salt output in SL, should I allot any output to the spa? I’m not sure how it works

The Spa output only applies when you are in Spa mode. With my Easytouch, it automatically lowers the SWCG % when in Spa mode. I do not worry about adjusting it.

Guys,

I’ve read most of the forums and especially Jim’s posts regarding configuration and operation of Easytouch and ScreenLogic and found great value in his sharing and experience.

I had many of the same or similar challenges being discussed, one change I made cleared up a lot of the challenges I was encounting.

Changing from pool/spa to pool only profile. I had to make this change from the EasyTouch panel, not SLConfig or ScreenLogic.

Once I made this profile change programming and operation of my Intelliflo improved and and became less problematic.

One example was all of my pump programming challenges went away and I even found new functionality was displayed. Example, all of these weird conflicts went away and I could control speed of my VSF in freeze mode which never was displayed when in dual body (pool and spa) profile.

I see you have a spa so this might not be a valid option for you just wanted to share my experience.
