New pool, need some help with a few things

We just built a new pool, lots of fake rock so not saltwater this time. It's also much larger than my old one so I'd like to new maintenance equipment to make cleaning easier and faster. Pool is 60'x40' with numerous water features, pebbletec, barstools in pool, and all jandy equipment and led lights. 40k gallons

Does anyone make a large vacuum head that I can use manually with a hose and pole? I saw one that was 41 inches wide but it looked a bit clumsy to use so I'm hoping for something a little smaller around 30-36 inches wide. I've seen some that are 19 inches wide also but I'd like larger than that.

I have a three section pole for my brushes and vacuum head but I'd like to get another to always leave the leaf net connected to it. Do you think I will need another three section pole? I think I could use a shorter and much less expensive pole if all I use it for is the net.

How do you plan to chlorinate? In our climate, the salinity will be the same as a saltwater pool in less than a year, unless you are planning to drain large quantities of water on a regular basis.

Will not a robot work in the pool? Manually vacuuming it may be quite arduous.

The volume seems low because we have a large beach entry and two large wet deck and we wanted more shallow areas than deep. It's also not a rectangle, it's free form so that takes away a lot of volume as well. I'm planning to use bleach. We have a ton of fake rock and it all forms right into the water with no waterline tile so I want to keep the buildup as low as possible. My previous pools always has less crusty buildup along the water when they were chlorine rather than salt.

Sure robot would work if I have a long enough hose, but robots suck. I can clean my pool in about 30 minutes with a manual vacuum once a week, or I could leave an ugly vacuum installed 24/7 and then either swim with it or pull it out and leave it on the decking until I'm done swimming and either option is a major eyesore. I'd rather manually vacuum and put it away. I'm using a 12" vac right now and if I could cut my time in half I would be quite happy.

As far as my salinity being the same as a saltwater pool in a year, that's not true at all. I had to add several bags of salt every year to keep my previous pools salt content high enough for the chlorinator to work so I don't see how you figure that.

It is your pool, and your routine, so I am in no way trying to tell you how to do things different, but the scenario you talk about above is where a robot would work best. You say you'd rather manually vacuum and then put it away, but for some reason, the robot needs to stay in the pool 24/7. I throw my robot in the pool, let it do its thing, then put it away. We are both doing the same thing, vacuuming, then putting the equipment away, but in my scenario, the robot is doing the work, whereas you are doing the robots work.

Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of pool owners who love to manually vacuum their pools. It is kind of like their therapy. No one bothering them, are one with the pool, and the satisfaction is high. With the new tool you found, you still get to manually vacuum, and will take less time, nice score!

I'd still rather throw ole Wall-E in the pool and let him do his thing, but when Skynet comes online, I may be the first to go and you will be safe vacuuming with your new XL vacuum head haha!
