That worked for me. However I also occasionally have to open the box and press the WiFi button inside and hit the WPS button on my router to reconnect. The new antenna has helped a lot.

I'm having the same problem. Did this antenna just screw in? and have you had to reset the system.

That antenna connector is pretty standard for WiFi devices, and yes it just screws on. If you have an old WiFi router laying around with an external antenna the odds are quite good that you can pull the antenna from the router it would work on your Aqualink.
 
I literally just installed this antenna:


And not only did it work but it improved my performance. Furthermore, it comes in a two pack and since you need to change out the wire and connector/base to use a screw-on antenna, I have a backup antenna for a few years from now. For the question about soldering....NO... no need to solder. The little plug on the wire is exactly the same as what is on the circuit board inside.

The antenna is about 25 feet from my Wifi mesh base.
