Jets blowing dirty water when Vacuuming

When attempting to vacuum my in floor, in ground pool, dirty cloudy water shoots out of jets and holes at the bottom of the pool. I had a bad algae bloom, it is definitely dead now, chemistry is balance and I just changed the sand. I can't vacuum up the dead algae, it shoots back in to the pool 5 minutes after I connect the vacuum hose. I disconnect the vacuum hose and the dirty cloudy water stops flowing through the holes. It seems like whatever I vacuum (when hose is connected to skimmer) is not even going through the filter and just coming back in the pool. Please impart wisdom. thank you.

Are you sure you put the proper amount of sand in the filter after changing it out?? (For the record, you almost never need to change sand)

Do you have the skimmer basket in place when vacuuming? How about using skimmer socks? Skimmer socks save your filter from getting all dirty with leaves or other things like pollen, etc.

How did you fix your algae problem? Can you provide a full set of test results?
FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA

How do you sanitize your pool water?

That's all I can think of at this point... perhaps others will have additional ideas?

Welcome to TFP.... I'm sure we can get you all straightened out.

Post pics of your equipment pad and valves.

First of all, thank you!
I went with the manufacturer recommendations for sand (good to know on the changing)
No skimmer basket in place when vacuuming (Pool skimmer) pump basket yes. No skimmer socks (good to know) we have a lot of pollen
I went with clean to green and shock (power powder) for the algae treatment, got crystal clear, then went back to green in 7 days.
Here are the chemistry results after it went back to green, by the way the algae looks dead now, on the bottom of the pool and easily vacuums.
FC 4
CC 4
pH 7.6
TA 94
CH 450
CYA 80

I use chlorine tablets to sanitize, power powder shock every 7-10 days

thanks again.

Ok.... that Clean to Green product is Ammonia. So it will chew thru any chlorine you add until its been entirely oxidized outta there. Please don't use crazy pool store potions like that again.

How are you testing your water??? Which test kit specifically?

Your CYA is getting pretty high from all those pucks. No Bueno.

Are you sure the CC is 4 (if so, you have no free chlorine in the pool)? Sounds like your MPV valve may be returning the vacuumed wastewater to the pool. Are you using Filter mode or Waste mode?
Filter mode and I feel I have plenty of FC. Recently had my chemistry analyzed at the local pool shop and scored a 90, they had no recommendations.
