Still happening...plaster completed!

Found an empty beer can and water bottles while doing a walk through..oh boy. I hope this isn’t going to be a thing for the rest of the build 🤦‍♀️

Ha! Yeah that seems to pretty much be par for the course.

I gave the guy digging our pool a couple of cold Gatorades and a bottle of water. I went out to check out the dig after he left for the day and found the empty bottles just tossed in the yard. That was disappointing.

Yes very! Maybe I should put a couple of trash cans out so they get the idea. But the drinking on the job? That’s just unacceptable.

It’s rampant in the trades and restaurants. I don’t agree with it, but it is what it is. I work outside. I’m forever stopping at a gas station either to hydrate or de-hydrate. At 11am and the rest of the day there is always an electrician, plumber, Mason, maybe all 3 on line getting tall boys.

Oh no. Empty beer can?
It's fun to move on each new stage. Steel looks great to me, but like you, I'm no expert. My steel should start on Thursday or Friday.
Hope you guys are hanging in there with the heat. I'm in coastal San Diego area, so not as hot. But today feels like a roaster.

Reactions: Watershow
So I thought our sprinkler system was shut off but apparently my husband missed to turn off a day so we now have a lovely pool of water on the pool floor. You can imagine my anxiety shot through the roof. Immediately texted my PB And said we will just have to wait for the soil to dry. Weather has been over 100 degrees so it should dry quickly. Guess this is our first owner pool fail? 😂And yes, he shut off the valve today. 🧘‍♀️

OH NO HUBBY is in time out now!! hehe No biggie about the water. There have been digs where a flash storm rolls through and fills the dig up!! Pumped out what they could and let the dirt dry and it was all good!

SWEET!!! That looks great!

I would water it right now! These first few days are oh so important. The leveling around the pool should have nothing to do with watering the shell.

It is time for your set of links! The first set is all about what to do and ask about to get a great plaster job. The second set is all about how to care for your pool after you get the plaster.

Now is also a good time to ask what test kit your PB will be providing so we can fill in any holes.

Thanks Kim Kat! I started watering it and now there’s a puddle in the deep end. Is this normal? Did I over water? Should I leave the puddle or dump it out? Thanks!

VERY normal for the water to collect there. You can pump it out if you would like to. Sure don't want to grow any buggies in it so....
OK so pumped out the water. Used a hand held pump and boy was that a work out! Also what are these holes for? Is there a certain way to spray/water gunite to avoid pooling of water? I didn’t use a spray nozzle and basically watered down the bond beam first followed by the rest. Should I just spray in mist mode?
