Post salt chemicals off

You just added the CYA yesterday, right? I would wait a day and add some more CYA after that test.

FC is the chlorine level. Do not use the yellow OTO test for a chlorine level. It is a check in case you get a weird FC result. I have not used that test more than 3 times in 6 years.

Yes I added cya yesterday. Ok that make sense thanks for the clarification. I was using that everyday. So I just had my salt added and trying to figure out the percentage I should put my SWG on. Should I use that test everyday until I figure out the right percentage?

Or if you’re weird like me and like to use up your reagents just so they run out evenly, you test it every time you test the pH, because hey, the comparator block is full of water and the reagent is right there in the box. 😂

It is a great idea to test FC often until you get your pool characteristics figured out.

To start, I would suggest you set the SWCG to create 4 ppm FC per day. I assume you do not have a screen enclosure.

With a screen enclosure (add that to your signature) you will have less FC loss. So start at 3 ppm FC.
What SWCG do you have? Need more information than you show in your signature. Is it a T9 or T15 cell?
The pH test is the one you use. No need to test pH everyday. Every few days should be fine. See what your pool needs are as you go along.

Use Poolmath app. Effects of Adding Chemicals.
10 hours run time at 50% generation will get you 3ppm FC in your pool volume.
