Stuck in Spa Mode

I recently had a problem with my pool system always defaulting to Spa Mode when I switch to Auto. I have recently upgraded to Aqualinks QS system in hopes that it would fix the problem but it still persists. I can toggle to service mode and filter the pool, but as soon as I switch to AutoMode the system defaults back to spa mode. It makes the IAqualinks system I just installed almost obsolete since I constantly need to be in service mode to filter the pool. Please help!!!

89,

I know squat about the Aqualinks, but do you have a wired spa side remote???

If so they often go bad and keep telling the system you want to be in the spa mode.. If you have one, just unplug it at the automation and see if the problem goes away..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks Jim R. That was the first idea we had. The spa side remote is disconnected :/

89,

Man, I only come up with about one good idea and month and you ruined that one..

Let's see if we can get a Aqualinks guy to chime in.. In the meantime, tell us more..

What actually happens when you are in the Spa mode (on purpose) and then select the Pool mode???

Is the problem that the valves are just not rotating or does your display say that you are in the Spa mode.

The more you can tell us, the better you chance of someone here recognizing the problem.

Thanks,

Jim R.

So we Inherited a system with the valves all backwards. We have since fixed the valves so they do exactly what they are supposed to do in the modes (pool mode valves switch to pool settings etc. Unfortunately, when we switch out of service mode to Auto, the system automatically switches to spa mode. That starts all the spa jets etc. We are unable to push any buttons to switch to pool mode, and when I use the IAqualinks app to turn spa mode off, just like on the main system, the spa mode clicks right back on.
The only way we have found a workaround so we can actually control/filter the pool is to go into service mode.
