This fall I'm planning to upgrade to 1 1/2 inch flexible pvc on my new pump and filter. I have the fittings for the pool, but not sure what I need to connect everything to the pump and sand filter. Can I get a list of bits and bobs I'll need for this project?

Post pics of the equipment you need to connect to.

You’ll need 1.5” slip fittings that are threaded to match the filter and pump.

If I were doing it, I’d add buttress unions so you can just unscrew them and take your pump in for winter. I would also consider valves at the end of the lines so you can isolate the pump and filter from water from the pool in case you need to service the equipment with the pool full.

Buttress unions? I have some gate valves already that are 1 1/2 inch. Is this what you're talking about?

Is this what you are getting - 12" Blue Torrent Sand Shark sand filter, The Mean Green Machine 0.5 hp pump?

I went searching for information about the Mean Green Machine 0.5 hp pump and found nothing. You have a link to an installation manual?

Yes, that way it’s easy to break down the equipment when you close for winter.

No, I have that already installed. My new pump is a 1 hp Blue Torrent pump.
