sorry I sorta bailed on you, Winston! But looks like others have you well on your way.
Go ahead and test your CYA for a few days so you can see how the chems react in your pool. For those with large pools and who put granules directly in the pool, it will take a while to increase. Since you have a small pool and (maybe) did the sock method, you’ll likely see stable results much quicker.
As someone said, round up to 40 for now. If you’re still showing that “in between” mark of 35 once everything is solid, THEN you can add stabilizer (small dose via sock method) to get a solid 40. It’ll help your chlorine/bleach last a tick longer.)
One thing you may want to do is test your fill water every once in a while.Sometimes it changes depending on what the supplier has to add to it. So when you have to add a bit of water from evaporation or splash out, you have an idea what you’re dealing with.
Also consider that a good amount of rain water will throw things askew, especially in a small pool. So if you have a day of heavy rain, you’ll need to test everything again.
As said earlier, you’ll eventually learn how your pool and water react to different scenarios, whether it be FC, CYA, Alk, or pH. (Unless someone else says otherwise, I don’t think theres a need for you to test CC.)
Enjoy!
