Vacuum / Robot Recommendation

Hi! I know the recommendation around here is to call Marina in Colorado about a pool robot. I am going to do that tomorrow, but I also wondered if there are any recommendations or advice other than that.

I am looking for a robot so I don't have to vacuum any more. Vacuuming is the main thing I dislike about maintaining the pool. I have an up to code electric outlet close to the pool.

My pool is a custom, kidney-ish shape. It's 20,000 gallons and about 5.5 feet deep all around.

I am hoping to find a robot that can handle this size pool - other than that I don't care about cool features. There is a barn close by for storage so I don't think a caddy matters to me. Don't really have a budget in mind, but I'm a cheap *******.

Get the basic Warrior SE or s200 ( they are the same ). You will like what ever model you end up with

I bought a S300 today at the Local Pool Store (LPS) after Marina didn’t return my email. Small family owned business. It was roughly $120 more than Marina but it was in stock and was worth the extra to support the LPS. So they gave me a 10% off Fathers Day special. And Maytronics is having a rebate right now that the store gave me the coupon code for. The LPS has parts, does warranty service and repairs as well.
Not trying to diss any one company, but look around locally if you can, you might be surprised.

Great to support local businesses, don't understand making local businesses close for weeks or months but you can walk in Walmart or Kroger without a mask and do what you want..They suggest social distancing but not enforcing it

Local businesses like pool stores (home maintenance) are not being made to close.
Some counties have mandatory masking and stores (like Home Depot) enforce it.

They did in Atlanta, open now but were closed for around 6 weeks. Then Georgia open hair salons and bowling alleys We are almost back to normal but still locking down assisted living which I applaud!

Then they chose to close and weren't forced. Pool stores, like all stores that sell home maintenance items, were exempt from state or local closures.

and as someone with a PhD in virology, i seriously hope folks aren't thinking things are "back to normal". they won't be for a while, unfortunately. Stay safe!
