Who said there's anything wrong with a little grease in the sausage ....
My favorite commercial brew. Believe it or not from the gas station I can and did walk to from my house in basically (by Tucson standards anyway) in the middle of nowhere. The owner is a craft beer aficionado. Go figure.
Tomorrow I tackle a beef brisket in the smoker for the first time. Apparently I am going to have to start it in the middle of the night.... Wish me luck.

My new little griddle arrived this week and we christened it tonight. Made chicken fried rice and it was awesome. Now I know its not as good as a dedicated griddle but its what we have room for and will allow under senior management rules.
Congrats on your new griddle, looks awesome. Now post some pics of food you cooked on itMy new little griddle arrived this week and we christened it tonight. Beef Brisket is a common favorite around here. I ususally smoke mine for 12-14 hrs. I was going to smoke one yesterday but apparently they are hard to find. I went to 5 stores looking for one and they did not have any. 2 butchers I spoke with said that they ordered briskets from their meat suppliers and did not receive any. Looks like burgers and sausages are in the cards today. Can't wait to see how yours turn outMy favorite commercial brew. Whenever I smoke pork shoulder I always smoke 2 of them. The leftovers freeze really well, and they are pretty cheap for the amount of meat you get. I like to get mine at Costco where they come 2 to a packWell experiment number 2 and 3 this weekend.
I have my shoulder wrapped to marinate over the next day.
I have my 1 sauce done and the other is thickening up.
In a bit I’ll make my meatloaf and the plan is to have it on the smoker by 2 pm.
Tomorrow I just have to make my 2 slaws and smoke the shoulder.
Hopefully I can get some yard work in too if it stops raining! Always on the weekend!

Walked into the local Fry's (which is Arizona Kroger) and they had them on sale for $2.47/lb on an end cap. Yeah you end up cutting off about two pounds of fat from the thirteen pound monster, but you still can't beat that (well until baby backs are on sale maybe). I just love that smoker. The meat is resting now, we cooked it for about 11.5 hours and it's probably going to rest an hour and a half). But it looks and smells terrific. The "other" white meat! What’s up with the trap in the background? You trying out new tasty treats?![]()
I totally just noticed that. Squirrel for dinner! The "other" white meat!
Probably not. I would worry more about it it being skunked, especially in the bottles they come in. Try a sip of it first.I’ve got an emergency guys! I’m putting together a pot of frijoles boracho and the only beer in the house is a can of Dos Equis with a best by date of June 2018. Is this going to make my beans taste like an aluminum trailer?
