We are going with standard tropics blue, no custom mix... but should I add glass? will it make that much of a difference? plaster is tomorrow.

so we are doing puerto rico blend 1 bag per batch and adding blue glass over top that plaster guy had left over for free! I'll take it!
Hi! We are in the same boat. We want to add shells and PB asked about glass as well. What did you decide? Also I want to make sure it won’t change the color. I’m going with tropics blue mini pebble and DONT WANT ANY GREEN in it!
Our pool is just now clearing up and looking like what I think it should... I will take a pic tomorrow.... Awesome. Thx for the quick reply. Glad I checked the website. Anyway I wonder if adding glass makes much of a difference. Did you add shells? I am for sure adding shells. Also with the Puerto Rico blend, that’s a mixture of several like red tan black etc correct?
I am not sure about the glass making much of a difference.. I wasnt going to but plaster guy said he had some left over and would throw in for me so that hand casted cobalt blue glass.. it looks good but some are aggregated in areas more than others if that makes sense.... but I think I am the only one picky enough to fret about it.... tropics comes with shell but they did hand cast little more. we did add one bag PB also per batch. It has the different colors of pebble... I love the color.. its just what I wanted... we just now got rid of the green look.... in last few days.. this morning I think we are finally there. These pics look lighter than my pool..... so weird but its a super pretty blue not too dark, not too light.. Look at pic 5.. this is the best representation....

Looks Fantastic! ?? congrats. Could not thank you enough for sending pics. And yes that’s the color I was looking for. They are coming on Tuesday to start the pebble. I decided to just go with shells and no glass. Funny my pool guy told me that color does not have shells already. To be honest I don’t think he is aware haha. How long or how many days for the “green” look to go away? And was it simple chlorine and filtering ? Sorry for all the questions. Feel free to respond if and when you have time. Much appreciated!!

Tropics absolutely does have shells in standard mix.... for sure. Anyway... we plastered last wednesday, acid wash thursday .. filled completely friday morning around 10 ish... So.. we were able to start pump right away since ours is a reno... and filtered with no chemicals till next day.. started acid etc. on saturday.. took almost a week with lots of testing etc.. to get it here! Not too bad.. but I wasn't patient.. so it seemed like forever! Can't add chlorine right away till get ph and cya in check... that took few days.. still having ph swings trying figure that out and using liquid chlorine for now till we can add salt in 30 days. Highly recommend liquid chlorine vs. pucks as it get in water faster.. I stared out with pucks. takes too long. Are you going have salt pool or chlorine? We put new filters in after first day running on old ones. Cleaned 1 x already..
We are sticking with chlorine for now. My kids use the pool and their cousin has salt water and they say they don’t like it haha not sure what that means but I think for now it’s Chlorine.
Thx for the details on the process after plaster! The pics you posted looked like it might have been overcast? Or is that just how they appeared? If so any chance for a sunny day photo? Just showed my kids and they are excited about the color
