Thank you! They’re marble pavers called “Ice White”. We got them sandblasted so they’re not slippery at all.
It was actually pretty cheap in comparison to what I've heard other people spend. I got these for $2.65/sq ft.
So I was thinking about something. I'm going to need a hand held vacuum for the first couple of weeks that I can't use a "regular" vacuum, right? What's a recommended cheap one to get?
I just get the "butterfly" weighted NONE wheeled vacuum head at Lowes or Walmart. You will need a hose that is big enough to go from the skimmer to each end of the pool. You will also need a pole that attaches to the vacuum head. You may need a vacuum skimmer connector. Make sure to measure the opening so you get one that fits.
What was your sub grade for the pavers?
Wondering for my build.....I am guessing 3 1/2". However the soil is much different in Florida then in Arizona..

Unfortunately it didn't get done on Saturday. The material came in too late. They did come bright and early this morning and they are plastering now.

No, I never got a quote from a builder. I always meant to, but with the running around I guess I forgot. I know for a fact that I saved a good chunk of money but how much is hard to quantify. I'll be doing a longer post some time later to sum up my experience as an owner builder.
I still have 4 inspections to go: final building, final plumbing, final electrical and zone/flood. I scheduled plumbing and electrical for tomorrow.
