Pool Math App Update

Ok i love the dark mode look with the colors.. Now that I have it installed if I try to change my targets they don't stay but revert to previous entries. Is it me or the app....? I'm doing this in overview.
Same here, same question.

Check out your app and see if you notice the changes!
Do I get a guess what’s new?? ?

So let me see if I’m following, you select a variable from the overview page and go to the Advice page. On that page you enter your target and then return to the overview. If however you return to the advice page it reverts back to default?

Am I close??

I'll have to peak shortly...............

It should hold the targets by default on all EXCEPT for chlorine. For FC it will default back each time. We did this as a safety as in the past we've seen too many users alter the target only to find themselves targeting a FC level too low.

Lee,

Nice new look! I only found two difficulties. When I'm in the "effects of adding" the number pad covers the number I'm trying to update. Also in the summary section when I try to change the date range the font is too big for the button.

I'm using a Note 8 fully updated including the most recent update that came out today.

Thanks for all you do on here!

Chris

I am having the same problem. I am on a Galaxy S10 and the number pad covers the number I am trying to update. Also I am getting a notice on the CSI and other items if they are not within the recommended range. That would be fine except the CSI for a vinyl liner pool does not really matter since you do not need to add calcium. Low calcium means low CSI.

I like the notices, but we should be able to turn off certain warnings such as CSI because it does not matter for some pools.

*** Note: I am posting what I consider problems above. However, I really like the changes such as the out of range notices. I just wanted to give you some ideas for improvements. **

I’ll put the issue of the keyboard down and we’ll look at it shortly. Jon’s doing some more work so I suspect we can sneak a fix in shortly. This also appears to be a Droid issue so waiting for apples review can be skipped.

As for warnings being disabled and such. We encourage users with a vinyl pool to just totally disable CSI totally in the menu. As you mentioned, it really isn’t vital. If you’re not tracking it, you shouldn’t get the warning.

Leebo,

Now I feel stupid. I could disable CSI for just one pool? I learn something every day. Whoop! Now to fix the keyboard on android and we will be rocking it!

Yes sir. If I go back and forth it sometimes remembers but if I go out of the app and back it is old entry.

Love the new look, but I have the same old problem I've always had -- the values I put into overview never change. For example, I tap FC and go to that page, so my calculations, log changes, then go back to Overview and no values are entered for FC. Same thing for all the other functions.

Oh well...

I've seen a few different users mention this and I personally haven't tried to recreate it. I'll toss it onto a tracking log we've got however as it's clear something's occurring somewhere.

This sounds like an issue where it's being used slightly incorrect. Try this.................
  • From the main page of the App click on the + sign on the bottom
  • Click on the option for "Test Results"
  • Enter your test results in that menu
  • Click on the check mark in the upper right hand corner
Now once you return to the Overview page it will have entered your current results and saved them for the future.

Ok I rebooted my phone. Opened the app clicked around changed my targets and backed out. Closed the app reopened and the changes stuck.

I really dig the overview with changes needed at the top. Maybe I haven't used the share pool data before but that is excellent. The colors are super cool. Thanks

What do you mean 'rebooted your phone'? Entered new target still isn't being retained for me. Changed targets in 'overview', backed out of the app and when I get back in it's reverted back to the old targets.

Doh! I never noticed that before! Works like a charm... Thanks Lee.

Not having a problem saving current test results. The problem is with saving a new target value.

There’s been no new progress as of late so the unexpected behavior seen at launch is still occurring. If a user follows a certain “path” then it’s possible to get the target to stick, but at this point it’s still too wonky to explain. We’ve got it on a list of “to-do’s” for the next update still.

I noticed today that an addition of Bleach defaults to Fluid Ounces. For me, it always used to default to Gallons. I prefer Gallons, but it reverts to Fluid Ounces in subsequent sessions. May I request the previous behavior be restored?
