Water rings in New plaster

Hey everyone. We are still in the brushing process of our new pool. While we were certainly aware of some discoloration and streaks with plaster...... We weren't expecting this. I've call the PB and was advised to put acid in the hot tub and run pump on high..... It doesn't seem to be doing anything. This is a massive eyesore on a focal point of the pool. Can anything be done?

Thanks in advance

Now lets get some close up pics of one of the areas on the seats. I want to see the edges where the two different colors meet. Do NOT drop your phone in but make sure it is very focused and clear.

That is NOT acceptable! We need to find out what happened to cause this so you know what to say to the PB. Is there anything like this in the main pool?

Hopefully those are clear. The last 2 are the sundeck. Overall the pool plaster is pretty clean. Some streaking and discoloration but nothing I didn't expect.

Putting in a call out to a couple of others to get a gut check. It sure looks to me like water or acid sat in those posts. @onBalance @ajw22 @jimmythegreek @Pool Clown

Has your PB seen it yet?
I emailed them pictures today. They contacted plaster company and plaster company suggested putting gallon of acid in spa and running the jets for a day. It's been 7 hours and no different at all

Are the unsightly areas smoother or rougher than the surrounding areas?
Its obviously due to water ponding, but what Im wondering if its just areas where the plaster "cream" was allowed to sit when it was washed down and maybe draining some water and a good scrub with a dilute acid solution (that's if its smoother)will lift the excess cream
If its rougher, then the acid has been ponding and has bleached the plaster, but Id expect to see some acid burn in that case (yellow/brown discolouration)

Great info. It's a bit hard to tell but if I had to guess it did feel a bit rougher. I'll definitely follow up with what the PB and plaster company say

If they say they want to do another acid wash, I wouldn't green-light that if I were you. You might want to come on back here with their assessment before you go ahead with their "solution." There are experts here that can give you the low-down...

It looks like water may have dripped in from the returns and drain when you were filling the pool and sat on the dry plaster. Did you start filling the spa before the water reached the level of the pool returns?
