Thanks Pv2 sometimes I can get short ribs cheaper but I decided that I wanted the better quality ones for such a special occasiongorgeous and YUM! my only complaint...almost $7/lb for short ribs! chaps my hide that all the tasty "waste scraps" get so dang expensive!
Burbon braised beef ribs done in the instant pot, grilled lobster tails, homemade pasta, Parmesan lettuce bowl salad, honey glazed carrots. Appetizers include clams casino and homemade bruschetta![]()

Gee and I celebrated by getting up at 5am and going to work....
Yeah I tend to cook too much food but I never want people to go hungry or thirstyHoly food!
This will be the year I learn how to smoke food. I will learn. I will have lots of queStions. First I need a smoker.
The Masterbuilt rectangular smoker will fit in that space. It is on wheels so you can easily move it. It comes in electric and charcoal. We have the electric one and love it just set it and forget it as long as you have electricity
That fits in the space for an egg!
You can still get an EGG or a Komado vertical ceramic smoker. There’s many different vendors for remote smoke control, eg, FlameBoss, CyberQ, etc. They use a remote controlled fan and thermometer and are easy to setup for internet access. The electric smokers are good too (my neighbor has one) but when I smoke meats, I just plan to be at home. Perfect excuse to throw on the swim trunks, drink some nice cold beers and chill out on a lounger ... no one bothers you when they know they’ll be getting delicious brisket & ribs from you ....
I have a new "grill" on my 2020 wish list - it is a Memphis wood fired grill...I am thinking of putting it on a deck right off of our kitchen. We have a reverse floor plan and the deck is right next to the kitchen which would make it very simple to use.
We have an outdoor kitchen in our courtyard with a Lynx built in gas grill and I also have a small electric smoker, but we typically use it during the summer months when we are outside. In the winter I hardly use either.

Hey Brent. I was looking at theirs. I saw it will fit. I really don’t know what to do. At least I have all winter to pull opinions from everyone and read. The Masterbuilt rectangular smoker will fit in that space. It is on wheels so you can easily move it. I have a Grilla Kong (about the size of an XL Egg) and love it. I have a flame boss controller and use it on overnight cooks just for insurance. But the Kamado's are so well insulated that there is really no baby sitting required. Once you get the vents figured out you can dial it in to any temp and it'll hold it forever. I've gotten 18 hours out of a single load of lump smoking at 250 degrees. I didn't have to touch the vents and only opened at the end of the cook. I love mine and will never give it up, plus no power source needed if we ever lose electricity. I have a Weber gas grill as well and the poor thing is seriously neglected since I bought the ceramic. That was the exact original plan. When I bought the ThermoWorks signals I was going to get the add on blower which control the temp. Then I saw that pellet pit boss at Lowe’s and it got me thinking.
Jim, my masterbuilt size is 40 inches. i think the 36 inch one may be too small to accomadate a whole brisket so you may have to cut it in half. Also my masterbuilt has blutooth so I can operate it from my ipad or iphone. You will have keep them plugged in as it drains the battery of my device very quickly. In the past I found that my meats sometimes took too long to cook and found out that the temp was off hence the thermoworks smoke thermometer. Now I am very happyHey Brent. I was looking at theirs.
