New pool just completed with Stonescapes Aqua White

I am in northwest Georgia, and our pool is nearly complete. It is in the process of filling today, and I am so happy with the way it has turned out. I agonized over material choices because I didn’t want my pool to have any hint of green. (almost went with Stonescapes Tahoe blue) I wanted a medium blue pebble finish, and I believe we achieved that with Stonescapes Aqua White mini pebbles with one bag per batch of cobalt blue glass and one bag per batch abalone shells. We chose silver travertine coping, and NPT Caldera blue azurite waterline tile. I second guessed every choice, but I think it turned out great.

I like the cooler colors of your decking very much. And do I spy a retaining wall? I'd love to see a picture of that as I too had to put in a retaining wall.

Yes, we had to have quite a large retaining wall since our backyard slopes so much. It is two tiered with steps in the middle.

Ohhhhhhh yeah.....*thats* a retaining wall! I kind of wish we'd done two tiers also. Thanks for sharing the pic. Oh yeah- don't stop filling that pool until its 100%! Looking good!

Thanks! We had the glass and the abalone shell mixed in the hopper.

Why do PB's insist on only installing one skimmer? I had to demand two.

Well, honestly in my pool one skimmer in the ideal position works great. Of course my pool is smaller than yours, so that is a huge factor.

Where I live the wind, which blows all the time, either is going east to west or west to east hence why I insisted upon having two. They're located at either end of the pool.

You can- but I’m very unhappy with the finish. So do not make the mistake I did by not asking enough questions and assuming you will get a pebble finish. I did not and I’m trying to figure out what I can do. Here are some pics.

That water looks pretty, but ya not even close to the sample board. Did they offer a solution?

They have offered to do an acid wash. Which I’ll have no real choice about. I’m thoroughly disgusted that the manufacturer has zero standards for their installers. The water color is especially beautiful in the sun.
