SF Bay Area build (done!!!)

Your pool looks amazing! The waterfall is going to be your stress reliever after a long day. There’s nothing better than to sit in the backyard, next to the pool, with all the lights and waterfall, and a nice cold beer. ?cheers!

Could not agree more... You might find you need to turn it off if someone wants to "Talk" about how stressful there day was.... This is where controlling the features from your phone really pays off.....

U-tube for the video

That is SO pretty! That is just the right amount of water flowing off of the fall! Does it sound good to you? I can't wait for the video!!!

Make sure to run the water features at least once a day for a few mins to keep the water fresh in the pipes. Don't want for it to sit and get yuckies growing in it.

OH MAN! just look at all that aeration! ;)

I really like the three smaller cascades, I've been wanting to retrofit the back wall of my boulder backdrop with something like that for years, a real weeping weeping wall.... you have given me new inspiration.
I still want to see the night view with the grotto waterfall backlight in your light show! that will make a fine video too! Are the cascades backlit too?

dont put thoughts like that in our head!

budget is blown and we are in frugal saving mode again

PB asked me not to run the water features after our test. will have to wait for his green light before i get the night shots

Pool is almost balanced.

Chlorine and CYA added today.

If chemicals look good after 8am check tomorrow we have the green light to swim.

i am also refilling my pool. Lost about an inch or so since i filled it.

i have a bubble cover to put on when i get the green light from PB.

No water feature permission yet. They have to fine tune a few areas. The night shot with water features on will be a few more days

It's always interesting on different pool builders and chemical guys opinions. I was told not to put any chlorine in during the plaster curing. Chlorine wasn't put in until maybe 2 weeks into the water being filled. The only reason the chemical guy put in chlorine was because the water just started to show a little sign of cloudiness. So, he made sure the chlorine was added to clear up the water. My water features were turned on immediately. The PB wanted the water circulating and aerated as much as possible. He had me leave filter pump and water feature pumps running 24/7 for two weeks.

Wow... New plaster and aeration... You must have been going through a few cases of acid.. Did he say why the aeration was necessary?

Not sure, the 30 day start up guy put in all the chemicals. But it did not seem like he put that much in. I checked the water frequently and the water was pretty stable throughout the 30 days. Only thing that was being consumed quite rapidly was the FC.

Water was balanced and we jumped in for the first time at 5pm. It was 100 degrees outside and the water was 80 degrees.

Fun fun fun grand opening of the pool

Also got the night shots that were requested

And some video

Night grotto video 1

Night grotto video 2

I am happy the features I "planned" turned out the way I wanted. The jumping wall is real fun...even for adults. The 18" raised wall gives a 2 foot drop to the water line. The 7 foot depth is more than enough to keep us safe (no diving!!! feet first only!!!). I did all kinds of crazy jumping tests and the only time I touched the bottom was when I jumped with my legs fully extended to test it out.
