What do i need to consider? Plaster pool. Plaster is 10 to 15 years old. Pool was built in mid 80s. I know i have some copper pipes. Any concerns with switching? I'm tired of jugs and trying to time adding bleach when my pumps are on....
What about pump run times? Currently I only run 2 hours in the summer. 1 in the winter. I have an old pump and at those run times it hasn't made much sense to upgrade to something more efficient. How many hours does it need to run to maintain proper levels?
As you have a single speed pump, it may impact your pump run hours. Get a large SWCG (30k+ gallon rated) so you can limit your pump run time to 8 hours or less.
Energy-saving technology and ultra-quiet operation are built into many models of IntelliFlo® and IntelliPro® Variable Speed Pumps. Purchase and professionally install your pump between April 1, 2021 and September 30, 2021 to receive your rebate in the form of a Pentair Visa® Prepaid Card.

With high power rates, you need to run slower to save money.
