Pump is D.O.A as of this AM. Lived a long and productive life but dead now. I'm up the creek. How long do I have before problems begin? Do I buy online and wait for 2-4 day's or pay the local pool store $100 more just for time sake? Our temps are only mid 70's for the next few days and I'm hoping my pool will survive without turning green. TIA for any help!

Add liquid chlorine to maintain FC levels. Use a brush to mix it in real well.

We just had a new member go over a month without a pump. No algae issues. Water turned a bit cloudy from dirt but cleaned up in one day once the pump was running.

Thanks for the quick response. Feeling better! My biggest concern is losing my balanced water and having to start over! Also I'm not able to get at it for a few days due to travel. My minds eye is seeing this big green pool when I get home!

Can someone do what I described? At least put a floater in the pool with a couple trichlor tablets.

I have a floater in the pool and will add a bit of chlorine! Thanks! Got the pump to fire up but I'm still going to replace. 9 years sounds like a good run! Went to local pool store to buy a new pump, $$ quoted on phone went up by $40. $160 more than Amazon, but I get a 3 year warranty? Clerk told me wrong code or some other BS. Figured I'll do a quick flip on the pump and the family will love me again and I can sleep knowing my pool is working.

The pump from amazon should have the same warranty. Save the money ;)
