BBQ chicken for our Father's day meal. No after pictures due to a starving group who likely would have rioted had I paused to taken pictures :)

Legs and thighs are the best parts of the chicken in my humble opinion as they are always moist and they are hard to over cook them. You have to be very careful with chicken and I tend to over cook

I agree, they are way more forgiving and just taste better. WIll use the leftover white meat in chicken salad this week so no worries there. With the Kamado grill it is hotter at the dome so I put the split breasts on the bottom rack and leg quarters on the top rack and they were done right at the same time. I pulled the breasts at 160 and with carry over cooking they were perfect.

Thank you for pointing that out. I had to take another look at your pic

Brent, you are definitely getting your moneys worth out of that grill dude!!
Rob I definitely like the griddle, it use less gas and clean up is a breeeze. I also like the fact that the grease trap is located in the front where I can keep an eye on it

Man. Just catching up on this thread. Nothing interesting cooked lately. Going fishing tonight with 2 friends with the hopes of coming home with enough fish for a fish fry on Saturday. If we don’t get enough tonight I guess I’lljist have to go out again this week. Oh well. It has to be done. Haha
