Help! Pool measurements are short on four walls

AS a note, our wall is also poured concrete, so basically a fortress, on par or above a pinned block system.

Fully agree with the Greek. My description only addressed the drainage aspect. Your wall itself is mostly decorative and only good for up to about 1' high. And would also be glued together at that.

? The poured pad is too small for that piece of :poop: plastic "pad". THEN that pipe.................what in the world were they thinking??? More NOPE!!!! With MANY adult words thrown in!!! They don't have ANY pride in their work of the finial product it seems.

Have you talked to the PB yet? Can I please talk to him for you??? I need someone to chew on right about now and he deserves it!

Totally agree. I am so freaking mad right now. They are supposedly one of the top builders here. They just keep throwing everything in that corner. I believe it should be moved. For the money, they should be holding our hand. That's a major eyesore. Apparently, that pipe is for the autofill. Well, it could have been put up against the wall. I am about to explode.

I have told the PB about the wall not being built correctly. He said it was but hasn't been out to look at it. I have not talked to him about all of that Crud in the corner, but I am going to.

There's no way to move your equipment pad at this point without major re-work. Wasn't the equipment location talked about and put on your site drawing? You could build a nice little shed around it though.

They didnt put it on the patio because they would have ripped part of it out to get the plumbing there. Easier to make a new spot. Could have been done a lil nicer considering the money your spending but that's kinda typical quick and cheap. The plastic pad on cinderblocks would bug me too looks like they used the automation panel and wood to screen the equipment. If you go that route a nice low vinyl fence section looks way better than that. As for the auto fill that was the easiest to do for them. Not sure what's on the other side of the spigot but a hole thru wall underground and tied into house plumbing with ita own shutoff valve is the way to go with this. What they gained by their install is no need for permit or plumber to hook to domestic water and looks like they have a backflow device at least. I get your angle and you expect more than this, and I think we all would in your shoes.

What's that plastic thing after the SWG? Also can you show a couple more shots of the equipment layout where we can see all the pipes and valves?

Okay here comes "Momma Kim".............breath in, breath out.................Put a smile on your face. One of the fake it ones. Think honey over vinegar kind of way. Vent HERE! Smile there even if it is on the phone as it will come though in your voice. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Your displeasure and how you think it can/should be fixed to make you happy. Use "I" comments...."I don't like where ?? is. I would rather it be over there." Instead of "You dumb bunny!! WHY did you put this here?? Why did you do it this :poop: way???"

We got ya and SO understand what you are seeing and feeling. Let out all of your anger and venting here so you can fake a calm when dealing with the PB.

There is a bathroom on the other side of the wall. I would have much preferred it the way you laid it out. It seems they are taking the easy route with everything. Isn't this something they would normally discuss with the customer at some time?

SWG=Salt water Generator. I think it is the rectangular thing on the left side of the filter.

I would think they would talk to the home owner about things like that. Well they get to talk to you now.

I do have to ask......did you notice where the pvc pipe was coming up out of the ground over there when the plumbing was being done before the equipment went in?

OK. Got it. The black object on the bottom left is new. Here is the thing. They talked us out of putting it 9 ft over on the concrete pad because they said something about the plumbing being difficult. I don't see why they could run pvc on the concrete. They advised us that it would be best by the fence so we could then put a small box around it. The described the height which was about 4ft. Well, it's over five feet and we were never told an electrical box taller would go in front of it. It seems they just keep putting things there. When we asked about why the equipment was so high they said because of our slanted yard they had to put on cinder blocks so it would not get wet. Whatever that means.

Also, the wall, they told my wife the pipe had to be under the wall because there was travertine on the other side of the wall. This infuriates me to the core. New photos attached. More photos of plumbing

They sold us on something totally different than what is there. more photos two more photos

I found a picture of what that "thing" on the side is. It's a Pentair IntellipH pH pump. It puts muriatic acid in your water automatically depending on detected pH.

Your equipment pad, plumbing and electrical is somewhat sloppy, but far from the worst I have seen. To say it is fairly typical is not comforting I know but it is what it is. Put some lattice work around it and you'll not see it anymore. It also is on your original plan you posted. I assume there was an electrical inspection and it passed?

Also you do want your equipment pad higher than your pool or else when you open up stuff (like your pump basket to clean it) water will drain out of your pool onto the equipment pad. There are ways around this but putting the pad higher than the water is the simplest.

We agreed for it to go there, however, they told us it would not go above the fence. Everything we have been told has turned out different then their original explanation.

Electrical inspection? I am not sure about that. They never mentioned anything about one being done. I work out of the home and have not seen or heard about an electrical inspection. Dumb question, but an electrical inspection should be completed? BTW, thank you for all of your with this.

I agree it's not terrible but could be nicer. I see the copper post caps and that leads me to beleive they actually tried to dress it up and to pool builders that's an average job. Some lattice work or a fence section and it will fade away. Would be a huge ordeal to move anything now. You should focus on the wall and the grading issues at this point it's way more important to address and get all that figured out. I feel your pain

Where I live I can look up my pool permit online (actually like 9 permits) and see the status of each, along with their inspection status, if that permit had an inspection. I simply enter my address and it shows all permits ever pulled for that address. All electrical work that requires a permit in my country also requires an inspection. Inspections are locally determined so you would need to check with your inspection authority. Your builder should know as well. My pool had a posted permit stapled to the wall throughout construction in a plastic bag. Each step that required an inspection was put in this bag (pass or fail and some of mine did fail the first time).

Really isn't worth the battle to fight the equipment pad. It is what it is.
