Blank canvas in Laughlin, NV.

Oh, Yeah forgot to say why I've been busy for a while.
We were not going to get a new dog until the pool was done, but since I'm taking forever
on my pool building adventure, Santa decided to take things into his own hands.

Here is Miss Luna Blu enjoying her first dip in our pool. hehe

Reactions: BUT ITS A DRY HEAT
Good morning pool peeps. I'm working on getting everything ready for the guys to pour
the deck. But, I haven't had time to focus on the spa. Looking at doing the Travertine ledger
rock on the outside of the spa. Here is the color we're contemplating.
I also haven't grouted the waterline around the spa yet, so meh.
Anyway, should have some pictures up soon...hehe

LOL You have a schedule??? I had no idea you had any kind of schedule. This build is a do as you go. BUT the work being done is first rate and it will all be worth it in the end!! Now when the end will be is anyones guess

Kim:kim:

Told my dad that I was sick of people asking if my pool was done yet...He said just tell them that I was ahead of schedule. Problem solved. Should be a major step forward in a few weeks.

Use a water level, waterproofing done inside/outside of SPA?

Yes Sir!
I used a water level when I did the tile so I'm pretty sure they are level. Started stone the on the bottom from the tile up, I am trying to use multiple levels and checking with water level...Problem is that the stone pieces are not exactly the same size so there with be some play...in other words, I'm doing the best that I can.
About the waterproofing...I was originally going to tile the outside of the spa also, but when I finished the waterline tile and raised deep end, I decided that a tiled spa was wwwwWay too much tile. So that is why the outside of the spa has the nice white waterproof membrane. (A bit more than a days worth of extra/unneeded work!)

Just read this thread from beginning to present....wow...how'd I ever miss this one?! LOVE what you're doing and the care you're taking to get things right. Love your sense of humor about it all too. You wife is a patient, good woman. I'd be tearing Skippy up to get it done. Do you do all this *and* work a 9-5 type job?!!?

Looking forward to the next installment... whenEVER! :laughblue:

Clearly Kim missed your picture of the new pupper! Either that or she is really mad at you and has intentionally refrained from commenting on that adorable fluffball!

"Oh, by the way, I just may be going for the record for longest pool build ever.
I officially started designing last October, after a well known pool builder told me
what their price to do my pool was. So we're just about a year in, and are "almost" at gunite time.
Sheesh, might be swimming by 2019!:p
If I can't afford to do anything after gunite, can I just fill it with water and swim?"

HOW IN THE WORLD DID I MISS HER!!!!! OH MY SO CUTE!!!! All I can guess is I looked at this thread at school on that day and the pics do not always show there for some reason :( Well thanks to you two I saw it now!!!

So tell me about her! What kind? How old? Why her?

Did y'all see that little bow on her collar??

Is she as soft as she looks? How is the house training going?

She's a Bernedoodle!
Bernese Mountain Dog/Standard Poodle
About 5 months old now.
Doing pretty well, but she has found the rainwater in the bottom of the pool. She jumps in the water, then rolls around in the dirt. (Which should be pool deck someday!)

But, she's a good pool building supervisor...
