Small Pool build in NW Peoria, AZ

Thanks Kim! I have begun bonding haha. Started watering it a couple hours after the crew left and was up at dawn doing it today. Thanks for all the info. I have no clue what kit they are providing but based on info I have read on here I think I will invest in the TF-100 Test Kit.

You did it! You got a real pool! Have you started bonding with it aka watering it? That helps it cure better.

Here is a set of links I put together for new pools. It is a lot of into but this will give you time to start learning it.

Make sure to ask any and all questions you might have no matter how small! We have all been where you are at one point.

Now is also when you should ask what test kit they are giving you. Let us know so we can fill in any holes.

I wasn’t trying to highjack the thread. Your pool looks great.

Hey MS, You didnt hijack anything Your situation and questions added a good back and forth about drainage and I have been considering running a french drain in side yard to tie into the existing drain in front side yard. Keep chiming in!!

There are a couple mobile R/O units operating in the Phoenix metro area. They can turn a pool over in one day with minimal water loss. Having this done once every three years is a better solution than having soft water run to your auto fill. R/O takes away all the other nasties that soft water won’t.

This is interesting. Thanks for the info Big E!

Ok we have made some progress. The deck got poured on Tuesday. Yesterday I finally had my side gate put back on so I can retire my plywood gate. This morning the tile guys were already here and knocked out the waterline tile. The tile looks really good and more importantly my wife approves! Hopefully the clean up crew shows up later today, and then next week should be the acrylic top coat and final inspection by the city. I am really looking forward to getting my yard back together!!

I noticed a small chunk missing from the deck, possibly from tile guys this morning, I already reached to my PB, and the PM will be out later today to check it out I assume it needs to be patched prior to the acrylic being applied.

Thanks Aham and Kim, My PM has checked it out and assures me that it is an easy fix. He hasn't let me down yet so I trust he knows what he is talking about. Clean up crew showed just a little while ago @ 3:15 AZ Time and they are going to town back there. Things are looking up!

Ask and you shall receive MS! Unfortunately my PM suffered some health issues and had to take some medical leave, I am wishing him a speedy recovery. He is a great guy and I was aware he wasn't feeling well so hoping all is well with him. The PB temporarily assigned us another PM in the interim and he did not skip a beat. We passed final inspection with the city on Wednesday, and yesterday we had the acrylic applied to the concrete decking. We have to stay off it for 48 hrs which would likely be just in time because we are hosting our grand daughter's 3rd birthday party Saturday afternoon. It is possible that the interior finish will be applied next Monday or Tuesday.
