Accidentally left SWG on in boost mode overnight; 29 FC!

Hello again!
I did a major whoopsie and left my SWG running in boost mode overnight, and woke up to a FC reading of 29. I expected with that very high level of FC to result in zero CC. I was expecting the water to not even return to pink when I added the yellow drops, but sure enough it did.. looks to be at least .5CC. the water looks clear, so I can't imagine anything is really growing in a pool with 29FC right? How long do you suspect it will take to come down to a swimmable level? Thanks in advance :)

Thats what happens when you have a SWG 10X the size of your pool.

Your CYA level determines what the FC needs to come down to swim. Could be good now with a CYA of 70.

CC of .5 is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

I would give the CYA a few hours after it dissolves from the sock to get dispersed in your pool. You have a small pool. Shouldn’t take too long.

If your CYA is low then full sun should burn off the FC quickly.

What is your CYA level?

It was 20 last week, so I added CYA and retested days later, but it still said 20. But I was informed that I may have been going overboard with the testing, and that I should just be adding the solution to the tube and taking a glance instead of really closely trying to see if there's any chance at all I can still see that black dot! So it may be more like 30. But I just added some more CYA this morning, so I'll have to see what it will be when it is dissolved (which seems to take days).

Your CYA should be dissolved within hours. How much did you put into the sock? Is it in front of a return jet?

Be sure to squeeze and knead the sock to help it along.

So last week I added it in a nylon, hanging in the skimmer basket. This time I just sprinkled it all around the pool. I'll push it around in a bit to help it dissolve, but I realize I should have done the sock again. Also, that's probably why it took so long to dissolve last week, because I put it in the skimmer basket instead of the return like you are suggesting!
