AGP Install

Who got to drive the big toy??? Do you have pavers to go under the legs of the pool? Digging them level with hand shovels would be purrfect work for the girls to do! That way they can take ownership in the pool!

Yes, the girls are pumped ! So are we ! I hired a company to install, so the first day is the "dig", tomorrow is the pool, and they will be installing the pavers. I'm too old to do this, well, really, no, I'm not, just health issues, back and knee keep me from doing the hard stuff. I will be doing the electric with a friend, he also has access to a bob cat for back fill. I will be doing 100% of the plumbing.

I so hear you about hiring someone to do the heavy stuff. We did also when we had the new pool put in. That way the wallet took the hit instead of our bodies!!!

Okay here is a tip for you from me...................the area under the return and skimmer.........it is pore to water coming out from rain or such (PLEASE tell me you are hard plumbing it!!) Mark out a good amount of room from the wall out and to each side of the return and skimmer. Dig down about 2 inches, fill that in with gravel then put pavers over the gravel. Make sure they have a slight slope away from the pool. This will help keep the over flow water from washing out the sand from under the pool.

Make sure to put valves under both the return and skimmer. That way you all you have to do is turn the handle to keep water from leaving the pool instead of having to lower the water below them then having to refill the pool

Unions! Make sure there are unions on everything. That way if you need to service, remove, replace anything you can with out cutting any pipe!

Yes, I am hard plumbing ! I work in Dialysis, and water is our main job, so I have a little experience plumbing, most of it will be plumbed in Schedule 80, because it's all FREE, LOL. Thanks for the advice, I already have Unions and True Union valves, everything is 1.5 inch, and the 90's are sweeps, so everything will flow smooth as a baby's behind! More pics to come
