Check you heater's manual..........some of them want a certain CH. I forget why but there is a reason.
I am going to tweak how you write up you test results. Please post them like this:
FC
CC
PH
TA
CH (if your heater says it cares)
CYA
For FC don't bother doing the drop test for it. Only do the powder test. It is MUCH more accurate. The drop one is more "yep there is chlorine in the water".
Do you have the Pool Math app yet? If not here is a link to it: Pool Math This will do all of the math and thinking for you.
