Looking for suggested for salt Systems

Welcome to TFP!

For sure get a 60,000 gallon rated system. Your options are CircuPool, Pentair, and AutoPilot. CircuPool RJ would be my suggestion for 90% of the people searching for a large SWG.

If you have automation then we need to know that as that will change things a bit.

Kevin,

Welcome to TFP... A great place to find the answers to all your "What do real people think?" questions... :shark:

Saltwater is the only way to go in my opinion... It is by far the easiest way to maintain a pool.

We always recommend that a salt system be rated for 2 x the volume of your pool. This is because cells are rated when running at 100% 24/7... So there is no room for any increase other than oversizing the cell..

Ping has you covered... but here is a comparison chart... Compare and Review Saltwater Chlorine Generator Prices and Features

If you do not have an automation system you can pick any brand of salt cell.. If you have an automation system, you are "almost" required to use the same brand as your automation..

I currently have three saltwater pools.. If I were to build another 100 pools, everyone of them would be a saltwater pool.

Please let us know if you have any specific questions about saltwater pools..

Thanks for posting,

33,000 gallons in the Texas heat. Before we went salt, we were pouring 1.25 gallons of 10% liquid chlorine in the pool DAILY. (In the summer) For us, going salt was the best thing we have done to the pool. For us, there are no negatives at all.

We installed the Cirrcupool SJ55. At the time, the RJ60 was considerably more money. If I were doing it today, the RJ60 is the only one I would consider.

3 choices, IMO. Hayward Aqua Rite Pro or Pentair iChlor or Pentair Intellichlor. Reason being you can hook up an automated acid injection system to balance the pH with either of these units. Those being the Hayward pH Dispense or Pentair IntellipH.

SWG's cause your pH to rise to 8.4
