No only pool return.
Okay that makes sense. I was concerned with the short space under the cell and above. I'm so excited to get a working system. I have been fighting this set up since the pool was installed. 1.5 years ago. I had a salt intex pool for 8 years with no issues. So when we bought a new house. We wanted some thing more permanent. So our budget allowed for this semi inground. And the salt system has been a thorn in my side. Will update when it arrives tomorrow and get it installed. The flow switch will work great on the horizontal pipe after the filter. It shouldn't be mounted with down flow or gravity may close the switch when it fails.
Direction of the cell with an external flow switch doesn't matter. That can be mounted downward.

After studying the pictures I now understand what you meant in picture one. And will be installing in the long piece between filter and cell.Sometimes things just work out.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Please ask us to rewind or slow down *anytime* we get too far ahead for you. It takes a min to grasp it all. After studying the pictures I now understand what you meant in picture one.
Good point! That might be the reason my aqua troll had issues with no flow light coming on. And it didn't require a flow switch. Please ask us to rewind or slow down *anytime* we get too far ahead for you. It takes a min to grasp it all.
Put the flow switch more towards the right side of the horizontal pipe. You have a simple system with oodles of flow, but it might be a little turbulent immediately out of the filter which could theoretically mess with the flow switch. Leave a little pipe after the flow switch so you can easily splice in another one when it fails one day without needing a new 90 and cell union.

Then the cell goes more or less where it is, but lower it a little for the same future splice / coupler reason.
It won't matter with your simple plumbing with lots of flow, but place the flow switch right for good measure / best practices. With the turbulence. Is it better to run my pool on high or low?
Yes, I plan to do that. I'm happy it went smoothly as well. I'm a do-it-herselfer but I'm afraid of electricity. So made sure I turned off the main first. When your Hayward warranty replacement comes sell the system and recoup some of your $. Ebay is a great option. Glad your install went smoothly!
RTFM strikes again !!!So told me to change the jumper and add the second one as shown in the manual.
