Got my grill mats at Costco...they do work very well, messy to clean up, work very well, last about 5-10 times then should be changed out. Pack of 3 will work well for the summer.

Mmmmmm...kabobs!!

Dang, I need some of those grille mats! Who makes them??

Here is what I ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KQ1VR5U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They are made by Twisted Chef and are life time warranty. They claim that if they ever break or wear out they will send you a replacement. I have used mine 3-4 time so far and love them. You have to use teflon coated tools NO METAL, I suggest a pair of tongs in one hand and a spatula in the other, that way you can scoop and keep the food on the mat. They are messy to clean up but it works:cheers:

Thanks. I will put them on my list of stuff to get...

Have you ever scorched one? My grille can get hotter than 500F so I'd be worried about torching them...

My grill also gets very hot however I have never scorched any. Usually I turn my burners down to medium to low after I get my grill hot. The mat is made of some type of Fiberglas fabric and feels extremely flimsy but it does the trick. The grill marks are great as you saw on my fish. I am still experimenting with it. Trial and error:cheers:
BYW I usually forget to clean them till the next day or so, by then all the grease has congealed and I just roll up the mats and clean them in my sink using hot water and a sponge with dawn. They are messy but clean up very well.

Calling on beer connoisseurs I went to Total Wine this weekend and I saw a lot of imported beers in cans and was wondering what your thoughts were. Perhaps some of you have tried out some and would like to share your opinions:cheers:

Yeah, that is a mind boggling array of beer. And a lot of them are bad! :) My bro in law is an adventurous sort who always has new beers to try. This Bellhaven Stout is the only one I've tried so far that is really good. It is a cross between Boddingtons pub ale and Guinness. It is everything i like about each one with none of the downside.

Who cares what other people think, your JOB is to try every one of them to find out which ones are good and bad. It is your sacred duty....like adding sanitizer to your pool every day....now get back there and start drinking!!

Look at the new friends in my fridge -

Dude, there's no sleet in FL....not ever....but I give you credit for the rain because you guys get some crazy storms!!

I liked it a lot. Very easy to drink and, at a whopping >6% ABV, it'll get you feelin' right real quick...

Went down to S. CA for a family reunion and visit my sister and made sure to hit the local Total Wine & More as the ones close to us don't carry the beers I like, Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat and Sessions Wheat. Ended up bringing home (6) 12 packs of both and about 24 misc. others between the wife and I. Much better selection than the other place. Always trying new beers when we go there.

My local market will sometimes carry the Goose Island beers...I must give them a try next time they're stocked on the shelf.
