Hi guys, I am a relatively new pool owner ( wife and I bought a house with one included ). It is a salt pool using a hayward aquatrol board. Anyway this will be our 3rd summer operating the pool.
Year 1 : no problems whatsoever.
Year 2: chlorinator split in the winter because I was never advised it had to come in ( our winters are brutally cold ). Purchased a new one . No problems after that.
Year 3: hooked everything up and the Power light would turn off with the No Flow light staying on. I used this board and found the current limiter to be cracked so bought a new one, bought a soldering iron and managed to fix that. We have power again ! The no flow light is still on however and the pool has been backwashed and filled, there is definately enough of a flow coming back into the pool through the chlorinator. So again I took to the internet and most point to a faulty flow switch, but heres the kicker - the pool has never had one in the setup ! Again, as a non pool owner I didn't even know it existed until I read this. So it worked fine without one for the first 2 years and the previous 3 the other owners had it.
Is there any part on the board that I might need to replace also ( like i did the limiter ) ? The chlorinator was brand new last year and used for only maybe 2months so I doubt that is the problem.
Anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated!
