New build in Vegas

Tile looks great. Looking forward to seeing the contrast tile too.

I see a lab!!!! LOL forget the mess  Kim sees the dog! LOL

Yes the picture worked this time. I would be out there cleaning it up........after a while that would drive me

Kim...I know the feeling...my crews did a reasonable job of cleaning up, but I couldn't stand it, and about once a week, had to make it "better", once they were all done with their phase of the project.

Talked to plasterer today. He told me that he will not acid wash after plastering. He said that he will come back after a year and acid wash if we want. He likes to give the plaster every benefit for complete cure.

WHAT????????? NO acid wash at all right after??? I have never heard of that one. I am going to check with our plaster person and see what they have to say.

That is an experienced pool plastering contractor that cares about providing a quality and long-lasting finish for his clients.

Why Acid Wash New Quartz Pool Finishes?

I have learned something VERY important! WOW! That link was eye opening for sure! THANKS!

I will be adding this to my "how a pool is done right" file!

Kim:kim: (must always ask WHY instead of just doing it because that is how it is done most of the time)

Well, I've come to the conclusion there will not be a good picture until the pool is done. There is so much dust covering everything right now none of it looks very good. Stone work and grout should be done tomorrow. Next week coping and decking should begin.

And yes, that is my finger in the way of the lense.

Thank you. Today my wife decided that she wants to go for more of a turquoise color to the water to match the glass tile. I will be somewhat glad when I can no longer make changes.

Even though, that sounds good. I really like the lighter finishes too, especially where your pool might get warm enough to boil shrimp.

IMAZ thanks for posting about the plaster! It's so nice to hear that it's the RIGHT thing to do and that you have a awesome plasterer.
I'm so glad I got the same plasterer Hahahaha. Also I'm glad your first so you can smooth everything out for me lol.
And I'm hoping he expert can chime in on Beach comment because I'm curious about that as well since I'm getting pebble.

Today was yard cleanup day. The pool no longer looks like a trash pit.

Also so had to fix an oopsie. Forgot to continue the conduit for the LED bubbler.

Also demo'd the existing patio. I ran the irrigation line for the landscaping behind the bond beam wall. I "borrowed" some left over conduit that was laying in the yard and ran the irrigation through it since it will all be under the travertine pavers. I don't want to have to pull up the pavers if it has to be replaced.

How are your shoulders/back and ears doing after that work??

Good catch on the missing LED power! Will they fill it in with gunite or just plaster?

LOL on the "borrowed" conduit..........well if it is in your yard it was bought with your money so that is good. I guess we don't need to call the police! :cop:
