New Build - Frisco, TX

If you add bleach to your pool as a sanitizer won't that increase the rate of TDS building up in the long run? What is the other 90% of the liquid?

It is the same stuff if you were using the 11% chlorine from the pool store. It is all the same stuff just different %. Water, salt, etc. I am sure there is a thread or 2 about this.

We do not worry about TDS as it is a non-issue.

Howdy fellow Frisco neighbor! We just filled ours on Friday, seemed like it has taken forever through all this annoying cold rainy weather we've gotten lately! I think we started at a similar time as you guys. We have been having a heck of a time with our large dog and the giant mud pit that the backyard has become.

Howdy neighbor! Congratulations on your fill!! I'm so ready for ours to be filled lol! Hopefully that will happen next week. I saw the pictures of your pool and it looks beautiful!! Large dogs and mud definitely create a lot of clean up. It seems no matter how well you wipe paws off there's still some stuck in there that they track in! Luckily we have a separate fenced in area for the dog in our yard to go outside. He is ready to see his pool completed though and run around the backyard!
Thanks,
D

Rain on and off over the last week has caused minor delays but we are making progress.

Sprinklers and sod went in.....Sod was a big deal for us.....SO glad to see something other than mud!

The trim work on the underside of our patio is also taking shape.

We are scheduled for plaster this Saturday barring any weather delays

Thanks, R

Thank you for the kind words Kim!!
We are so ready for plaster but the forecast doesn't look so promising, it's showing 100% chance of rain... Fingers crossed it will happen Saturday. The weather sure can change its mind at the last minute :).
Gutters went up around the patio today, yay!!

We've been dragging our heels on getting some sod put back in. Who did you use? Our first landscape quote (for a lot more stuff) came in WAY higher than we were expecting so we're waiting for another quote right now.

Wish I could be of more help but our sod was actually part of our contract with the PB. Good thinking on getting another quote since prices can certainly vary.

"So classy looking!"

Not to sure how to respond to that. We are just two Texas rednecks that want to :swim: in our cement pond!

Thanks, R

 at Hunter's house!!!!!! Hunter you cannot get in yet. Your claws could mess it up right now. Soon though!

That is so pretty!!! Wrap a towel or t-shirt around the end of the hose and tape a empty bottle to the house to keep the metal end off the pretty plaster.

Remember there might be a slight green color to the water. That IS normal as it settles and gets balanced!

No way our crazy dog is getting anywhere near the pool soon. When we took him outside a couple of days ago for his first sneak peak in months he lost his mind and started tearing around the yard like "super dog"

Thanks, R

But, but, but..........all the smells and it is all NEW!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE I must see and smell EVERYTHING at once!!! LOL

That is how my dog acts when I let him go in the pasture...............run and act like it is the best thing ever! It is just open field with grass. NOTHING special except he is not allowed there often so...........silly boy! The house "yard" is 3 acres so he is NOT hurting for run around area!
