    Raypak 407 pilot??

Yellow is not good on the main burner but it’s pretty normal for the pilot, right?

    Raypak 407 pilot??

Thanks. The pilot flame is wide and yellow. I assumed the previous assembly broke down from being overheated and corrosion. The main burner flames and performance seem ok.

    Raypak 407 pilot??

I’ve got a cursed raypak 407. I was so excited to get a simple atmospheric heater with no complications when I bought it but I’ve had a variety issues with animals getting in, leaking sensors causing corrosion etc. Now I’ve got it all cleaned out, everything seems to be ok, but it consumed a...

Suicidal reptiles and raypak heater boards

I went ahead and ordered a new board as there was a deal comparatively at $200 shipped. I had a couple ideas to protect the new board and wanted your thoughts. As you know the solder side of the board is like 1/4” away from the steel enclosure. I though about putting some foam rubber in...

Suicidal reptiles and raypak heater boards

This is about one year from replacing it. First was a lizard, this time it was a frog. They are probably trying to escape the cold and something on this end of the board must be warm until it gets tingly. Anyways is it feasible to try to repair the traces on the board just for a science project?

Looking for a Jandy Onetouch controller or Service controller

Yes tried resetting, switching to wifi, etc. Ebay is my usual path and keeping an eye on it. They used to be alot cheaper than no. In parallel i am making an Aqualinkd interface but I am having to stretch my brain with RS485 and linux. The One touch pad would give me back up support capability...

Looking for a Jandy Onetouch controller or Service controller

No. I can use my Aqualink RS all button indoor control but that has limited capabilities other than on / off etc. The Antenna is dead. It has happened before and I would replace.

Looking for a Jandy Onetouch controller or Service controller

Its an aqualink RS. It has the B00088 blue box iaqualink wifi antenna but I always ran it wired for stability.

Looking for a Jandy Onetouch controller or Service controller

Its an R. I have lost my J-box(Iaqualink interface) several times to power surges likely. I know the technician generally just plugs in a onetouch to program stuff and I think that might be a good plan until I get aqualinkd or another interface for a reasonable price.

Looking for a Jandy Onetouch controller or Service controller

I am working on troubleshooting my Iaqualink and now left without a good way to program, adjust speeds, and schedules. It used to be easy to find odds and ends on Ebay. Now new stuff is 2-3x what I recall and used stuff is hard to come by. Does anyone know where a good place to hunt would be?

Thinking about a new automation system.

It’s disappointing how expensive these systems are and they are all home grown with clunky add ins. There’s not much more to them than is present in a irrigation controller and definitely something I could use a building automation controller to do and they are built to last 20 years or more.

Low PSI after manifold failure and replacement

I was cold and wet in the dark and didn’t have the return o ring seated. I think I resolved it. It’s leaking a little from the main o ring even with silicone but I’ve had that work itself out on its own in the past.

Low PSI after manifold failure and replacement

I suspected something was wrong with my filtration and found my manifold (Jandy 580 cartridge) was cracked. The old one was like this and replaced WIth this: I have 2 returns and 2 skimmers running and flow is normal but the pressure is sub 5 PSI which isn't right. GIven its flowing...

    Raypak 406a Digital ignition trouble

I've got a 406a digital nat gas heater. Its 3 years old. All of a sudden it will not come on. I pulled the panel, checked the ground, and it goes through an ignition sequence. The pilot comes on, lights, and it appears the pilot flame sensor is not relaying. After a period, the display shows...

Trouble with Intelliflo going offline with IAqualink

For the past few months every other day or so my pump stops communicating with the Iaqualink which will keep it from running. It'll wake back up randomly. Sometimes it'll be hours but always within a day or two with no intervention. If I manually set a speed on the pump to make it run, it'll...

Any LED color lights stand out as far as reliability?

So after some effort I believe the Pentair spalight is incompatible with the Hayward duraniche. No real info or cross reference that I have found. A bit frustrating but I made the ASSumption they were compatible.

Any LED color lights stand out as far as reliability?

Ever think the hard parts done only to have the simplest thing kick you? Anyways I went to put the new lights in the niche which are the plastic Hayward buckets. On the spa, It appears I am going to have to dremel the bolt off about 1/2" as its hitting the niche. They all use a different screw...

Any LED color lights stand out as far as reliability?

Mine weren’t epoxied in. It’s only a leak if the pipe develops one. I only add water to the pool once or twice a year. If I have some leakage I will do that first. The installation was low drama aside from having to recruit wife/ children to assist in pulling cable while it’s cold and rainy...
