I just watched the 2 YouTube videos on Pool Chlorine storage and FC/CYA.
Very informative info on there, just unfortunate I missed it at launch.
I always thought CYA would be difficult to bring down...basically drain and refill, but I see the sun and chlorine can diminish CYA over time.
When adding Muriatic acid it might be a good idea to mention NOT to add water to MA, but to add MA to the water...just as a precaution.
I found it interesting that Matt says to pay more attention to TA and let PH balance out on it's own...but best to monitor both.
Maybe for the next one, talk about the chemicals that are being sold out there that is really not needed, and how just having Chlorine and MA on hand will take care of most problems...well at least that's all I have.
I had some Pool First Aid from my PB, but no longer have any. It didn't seem to cause any harm, but I also didn't see much benefit from using it.
Also the reason for Borates might be a good short conversation for the beginners.
Keep it coming and hopefully I'll see the notification for the next one before its over...LOL!
Thank you very much for all the info and advice TFP provides!
