Hello, hoping someone can help me figure out what this stain could be from and how to remove it. Pool was built a year ago, and just noticed this stain a couple months ago. I have similar yellowing in a few corners of the pool up the grout (from the waterline up to the coping) that have been there for quite some time, but was surprised and frustrated to see this one pop up on the wall which is much more noticeable. It's well above the waterline so I don't think water chemistry would be to blame, and it almost looks like it's originating from the grout/seam and dripped down. so far ive tried a magic eraser, baking soda/water paste, and a pumice stone but no luck. any thoughts on what it is and what to do?

Welcome to TFP.

Rub a paste of crushed Vitamin C tablets on the area. If it lifts it is iron stains.

It looks like there may be some cracks in the mortar/grout allowing water to drain down the wall.
