...and frankly it was horrifying.
For context, our pool is in it's 5th season and we hadn't done it yet. It will absolutely be part of the annual opening process going forward. I couldn't believe the amount of grody stuff that came out and continued to emerge whenever we moved the hose around a bit. I think all in we flushed it for about 5 or 6 hours until I was satisfied.
The water is running pretty clear now and we're going to take the opportunity to add some sand to replace what we've lost here and there over time.
I'm frankly astonished that we'd been able to get clear water at all given the state of the filter media. New T cell arrives today as well. We should be back online and in business by the afternoon.
