Would appreciate input on pool design!

Hey all - new to the forum - as we get closer to construction wanted to share our design and solicit any input / suggestions etc!
Do you see any possible flaws or possible enhancements?
Any suggestions on how to complete the rear exposed wall - match to waterline tile? match to pool decking?
Any thoughts are welcome -

I like the overall design. The curve on the one side is very unique.
Where are the pools step? Do they run the full length of the Baja deck or are they in the corner only?
Did the PB provide you a list of equipment and specs such as plumbing, number of skimmers, etc? That all helps us understand what is being proposed By the PB.
Also what is the depth of the pool?
Will this be a saltwater pool?
@kimkats can also provide good input on design, tiles, etc.

Thak you for the reply - really appreciate it.
- Yes the stairs stretch across the width (20') of the pool and the baja is 5ft'..pool swim area 36' - width varies from 17'-21'9"
- It will be saltwater and ranges from 3' deep to 7' deep.

BTW, we are still deciding on pool decking - thinking like walnut travertine or perhaps shellstone... any thoughts on that vs saltwater pool systems?

For colors, we are thinking about Tahoe Blue, Granite Blue and Ocean Blue -

I see 2 skimmers on the plan !

how to complete the rear exposed wall

I would match the all walls with each other no matter where they are. That way if you are standing at the back of the property you will see the back wall and the front wall and they will blend together for anyone looking at them. I would include the waterfall wall as well.

pools step?

I would put the pool steps over by the black table instead of all the way across. The reason for this is having the steps all the way across limits your "swim lane" for if you want to swim laps.

Depth-Make sure you and your PB are talking WATER depth. That is from the bottom of the pool to the middle of the skimmer opening. Some people just talk "depth" with it being from the bottom of the pool to the bottom of the coping. You lose a few inches of water depth that way.

Useable water depth-3' is way too shallow. If you try to do a full crawl stroke your knuckles will scrape on the bottom of the pool. Go at least 3'5" but I would really think about 4' if you are going to 7' in the deep end. That will ease the transition slope so it is not quite as steep.

baja is 5ft

If you have in-pool furniture or loungers planned, have you measured to ensure they'll fit on a 5' baja? What's its depth?

I would reduce the width to create a swim lane and increase the length to accommodate loungers, etc..

3' deep to 7' deep

3' is extremely shallow. I would suggest 4' for the shallow end.

Have both skimmers independently plumbed back to the equipment pad as this provides better control of each skimmer

Post the equipment that the PB is providing and more info can be given. What is the planned volume of your pool?
