I have a new agp 30 feet. Hayward sand filter and skimmer. Also have a Polaris Turbo Turtle. Turtle works great as long as his wire mesh screen is clean. We have a few trees close to the pool and so I leave him running at least 12 hours a day. So we can swim without walking on leaves. His screen gets continuously clogged. I am having to clean it at least 2 to 3 times a day. Pics will follow. This is what it looked like after about 7 hours of running. It gets so clogged that the return water will not even come thru. So I have to clean it or disconnect. 27D0F748-EF2C-4005-8171-45857F8A9F57.jpeg26EE9252-BACB-4385-A406-ED25B128969E.jpeg

Yes, you have a problem. I have a little screen like that on my Polaris and I have never once had to clean it in 12 years.

Is the turbo turtle hooked up to one of your AGP returns or is there a dedicated port for it? You must see this same debris on the bottom of your pool if the filter is spitting this out.

Are you sure that the multiport valve is set to filter and not circulate?

If you had a broken lateral then I'd expect you'd see sand in there. The only other thing I can think of (if it is plumbed correctly) is your sand has channeled. This is where a path has developed from the top directly to the bottom where the water can flow without filtering.
