Wiring questions (changing from 2 speed to vs)

I currently have a t106 and t104 timer controlling 2 speed 1.5 HP whisperflo, and Stenner. Should be receiving 1.5hp Superflo VS tomorrow. I should be able to do away with the t106 timer, and use the t104 for the Stenner. No need to run the VS through a timer, right? Just hook up to black and red incoming hot lines (and ground). So white neutral it's no longer needed for anything, right? Just cap it off?

No need for the current freeze protection circuit, right? It's built into the VS.

I am not sure what you have now (wiring wise) but your new pump only need L1, L2 and ground, assuming you are going to run it off of 240 VAC.

Unless your Stenner is a 240 volt it will need the Neutral.

In theory, you can use the color of the wire to determine what goes where, but in practice, you never know what the idiot before you did, so I would double check..

Thanks. Both 240v. I'll only use one timer for the Stenner.
