Wireless Pool Thermometer Suggestion

The Ambient Weather is about the best I’ve found. All the floating sensors seem to leak after the have been opened a number of times for battery replacement. Ambient uses a solar cell to supplement the battery power so you replace the battery less often. I get a few years out of a sensors before needing replacement at $22. There are a number of different models and prices.

I agree with chiefwej. I've had one of the Ambient Weather models for over 3 years now and the same floating sensor. Replaced the battery only about 3 times as well and have noticed no leaks. Be sure to use vaseline on the seal (more is better than less) to help ensure a good seal when assembling the sensor.

You probably don't want Vaseline. Use Silicon grease instead. Any plumbing Dept should stock it.
