Winterizing

Hi Everyone,

I live in the great white north and winter is approaching. I am just wondering what do I need to close my pool in regards to gear? I see on a few sites they have a ton of stuff you can buy but what should I get? Also is closing a pool something I can do or should I hire someone?

1) Pool Cover
2) Leaf Cover (I have a huge amount of trees)
3) Heater Cover
4) Filter Cover
5) Winch and Wire
6) Reel Cover
7) Chemicals

Post pics of your pool and equipment so we can see what you are dealing with.

I don't like covers for the heater, filter, or pump. They just give a place for critters to build nests in for the winter.
