Hello, we are winterizing. Every winter we leave the main filter running but shut down and blow out the lines in the water features, which run through pipes and into Hayward floor pumps in our pool room.

Our pool has 3 water features - one is a waterfall trio feature which runs through it's own pipe (the middle feature in the picture). The other 2 water features (rockfall and waterslide) are on opposite sides from each other in the pool and the water eventually feeds into the same 1 pipe/ floor pump in our pool house. This will be the first year that we are winterizing entirely by ourselves (our pool guy either does all or most and is now unavailable). We're using the same type of shop vac as our pool guy.

The one stand-alone waterfall feature was easy to clear the water out of (the line was clear after emptying ~2.5 gallons of water in the shop vac). The issue is that the the line feeding the 2 features seems to have an endless supply of water and we can't seem to empty the line. For context, we've filled the 5 gallon shop vac 4 times and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. Are we simply pulling water from the pool in a circuit continuously through the lines? How do we know when to stop and feel like the line is ready for winter? How do we accomplish clearing out the lines without taking water through from the pool? The line for these 2 features is the furthest/deepest in the ground if that is relevant.

Thank you!Pool 2.jpg

We blew air through the line in the pool room. It came out of the weir door. Is that normal? And does that help to determine why we can't seem to clear the line? Thanks
