Is it possible to winterize a pool where the pump, heater etc are below the waterline of the pool? How do you keep gravity from continuing to fill your pipes?

our equipment is about 1.5 below the waterline of the inground pool (plaster)

thanks

Just use good rubber plugs in all returns and skimmers. Some folks build L shaped snorkels to plug into their returns to raise the pipes above water level.

Where do you see a problem?

Won’t the main drain keep draining water down do the equipment once you stop blowing air through the main drain line? I must be missing something

How is your main drain connected? To your skimmer or to a valve at the equipment pad?

Your frost line is 3"-5". You only need to get the water out of the pipe that deep. You can that by stuffing foam rope down the pipe or by plowing air in and air locking the air in the pipe.
