Hi,
Just looking for recommendations on winterizing a Hayward heat pump in Texas.
The manual says to:
My pump runs 24 x 7, but we can have a few hard freezes here a year, I just want to be sure I'm covered. I do have a bypass valve for the heater.
Is there any reason to reconnect the water connections or can I just put the shipping plugs back in?
It doesn't really snow here very often, so should I cover it or not?
Any other recommendations?
Thanks,
David

- turn off breaker
- disconnect in/out water connections
- drain water
- tilt or blow out with air
- reconnect in/out water connections
- cover to prevent snow getting inside
