My pool builder installed a Jandy Levelor autofill. There are two fittings on the wall of my pool that are simple eyeball return fittings (Aquastar Australian Return fitting - I think - see attached picture) that are connected to the autofill. This may be a dumb question, but how do I plug these fittings after blowing out both lines? If I just plug the eyeball with an expandable rubber plug, is that sufficient? It’s seems that the eyeball would not be water tight. I’ve tried to pull the fitting off the wall to plug the pipe directly, but I don’t think I can get them off without damaging the plaster.
Any tips about whether plugging the eyeball is sufficient or for removing the fitting to plug the pipe directly are greatly appreciated!
